Homemade TombStone

Here is how you can make two tombstones for a $1

All you need is one black poster board, silver spray paint, and black paint

First take the board cut in half and make each half into the shape of a tombstone Then spray paint both sides of the tomb silver

Finally take black paint and write whatever you like

Black Rose & Petals

Hey ok so there is nothing more scary then black flowers and petals! So here are a few ideas for making black roses and petals for decorations!

You can buy 300 petals for $1 at dollar tree and you can buy a bouquet of white roses for $1 as well!

You can get a can of black spray paint for 96 cents at Walmart!

And this is the out come! 

After you have spray painted them you can create anything!!

 Bloody bouquet! To make the vase all you do is take a bottle and put water and food coloring

This is just one idea but there are so many others you can do!

Halloween Wreath

So Vivienne over at the V-Spot should use how to she made her Halloween Wreath!! It was super cute and I felt inspired to make one and put my own little spin on it! All you will need

A Hanger

Halloween Garland from Walmart that costs about $2

String

The black swans 

Black roses 

Step 1: Shape your hanger into a circle

Step 2: Pick your garland and rap it around your hanger

Step 3: Take 2 black roses and at wrap the bottom of them around the bottom of you wreath and make them cross

They will not stay in place by itself, that is where the string comes in! Wrap the string around the the cross roses and makes a web looking design like in the pick above!

Step 4: After that take one of your place swans, tie string around the kneck of the swan and then around the kneck of your wreath! Add a bloody bow and bang:

This whole wreath all together cost me about $2. I had all the other suppplies! Hope you like it!!

Coffins

gkHey everyone, so my last blog was on creating cheap cute black swans.  This blog is gives a new meaning to the term "These potato chips are to die for" lol.

So while searching for foods that look like body parts I stumbbled across this 

My first thought was how cute..... then it shifted to how pricey and how am I going find a coffin like this.

(But it just hit me as I am writing this blog I could probably get it is at Michael's or something) I thought this is a cool and completely different way of eating chips.  Way better then the boring bowl or platter of chips.  I recreated this look and it did not cost me one penny!

With the spray paint I got from Walmart

For 97 cents 

A sneak box

A silver sharpy and aluminum foil (not uploading a pic) I created this

I made my own coffin

I spray painted the sneaker box and after it dried I lined it with aluminum foil and I decorated the box as a tomb stone in honor to some of my favorite passed celebrites!

This picture is of the Michael Jackson there is also a Heath Ledger and a Natalie Wood is in the works. I thought this was a really cute and inexpensive way to spice up the way chips and dip are served!

Black Swans

Hey everyone so this year I am throwing my first ever Halloween Party, well October-fest.  As a child we never celebrated Halloween because it is against my religion (non-denominational Christian) and it is viewed as a pagan holiday.  So I never got to dress up or go trick or treating or anything. In fact I never went to school on Halloween until about the 5th grade.  So this year I decided I wanted to have a Halloween party.  Since I am still living with my mother while I am in school I am not allowed to call it a Halloween party but a Octoberfest.  (Whatever helps her sleep at night and lets me have my party I don't care what it is called lol) S since this is my first time I am totally 10000% clueless and have been searching like crazy for cheap and easy ways to decorate my house. I have to give a HUGE thank you to the Lovely Vivian over at The V Spot for helping me out with some really great ideas.  I have also come up with some ideas of my own and I have decided to share. Vivian I hope I do you proud with these ideas Kimora and I have come up with.

It is funny because The Dollar Tree is Kimora's FAVORITE store and it is easy to see why! There really are some great inexpensive things there!  There was a movie called the "Black Swan" and we decided to create our own!

We went to the dollar tree and was able to 12 black swans for 50 cents!

This one pack of 6 swans were 25 cents at Dollar Tree 

This made mama very happy lol

We brought to packs and went to Walmart for some spray paint

This can of spray paint was only 97 cents

First came the experiment to see if it would work. We layed down some news paper and place one swan in the center and began to spray

Looks good right? Right! So we moved on to the other 11 and here you are....

12 black swans for the price of only $1.47

To think you can make so much more because all you have to buy is the swans! 

They make cute little accents for the table or the fire place mantel

You told us what to study, and that there was going to be 20 multiple choice and 10 fill in the blanks
So I study what you told us to study and when we get the quiz the whole class looks completely lost!!! WHAT THE FAWK!!!!
20 fill in the blanks and half of what you told use to study was not on the test and replaced with shit we never covered!!!!!
I have not had test anxiety since the 8th grade! I have no room for failure here lady!!
Thank you Professor for making me freak out and possibly ending my academic career!

The Criminal Justice Side of Me

Hey everyone so I feel like on here I talk alot about my friends and baking and school.  But I have never talked about what I do or learn in school.  I had a OOCA (out of class assignment) to write Evelyn Humphrey's BWS (battered womens syndrome) case. I was suppose to talk about the case and give my thoughts I figured I would share this with my fellow bloggers. Time to get all CSI:Miami on you lol

O² –C-A: BWS: Evelyn Humphrey

            The case of People v. Humphrey is based on a woman named Evelyn Humphrey who shot and killed her boyfriend, Albert Hampton.  While driving back to their home in Fresno California from a camping trip, Hampton made a statement about the mountains being a perfect place to kill her and no one would be able to find her body.  The very next day Hampton started beating on her again, Humphrey grabbed a gun and said “you are not going to hit me anymore” and shot Hampton.  Immediately after shooting him she called the police and waited outside for their arrival.  When questioned by the police is admitted to the shooting and claimed that it was in self-defense.

            When the case went to court Humphrey’s lawyers went right for the BWS reasoning, but the jury was instructed to disregard this reasoning when questioning her actions.  As a result the jury convicted Humphrey’s of voluntary manslaughter as well as personal use of a firearm.  She was sentenced to eight years. Humphrey did appeal her conviction for involuntary manslaughter.

            First of for some reason I had trouble finding this case and the information that was available seemed to be quite vague and not as detailed as some other cases.  Based off what I read I think that she react the way most woman, who have been beaten for a long time, would have react, she snapped.  It is like a typical person that is constantly being pushed around and made fun of, after a while they get tired of it and they just snap.  I always find it hard to pass judgment on people that murder due to BWS or bullying.  Sometimes they feel that killing is their last resort, that it’s either the culprit or me.  BWS is a serious issue and people who have never experienced it or are on the outside looking in do not understand why the woman cannot just get up and walk away.  Well let’s look at the women who have tried:

Tracy Thurman

• -          Husband constantly beating her
• -          Got a restraining order
• -          Husband constantly ignoring the restraining order
• -          Police does nothing
• -          Husband comes to her home with a knife and stabs her repeatedly, slices her kneck, while having their son in his arms and the office just watching and stopping the people who did try to help her

Donna Yaklich

• -          Married to a police officer
• -          Beats her all the time
• -          She tries going to the police but they protect him due to the “Code of Silence”
• -          She hires hit man to kill

Tina Turner

• -          Married to Ike Turner who constantly beat her
• -          Tried to run and he found her every time
• -          She did eventually get away but it took years

All this women tried to get away from their husbands and look at their outcomes: Donna Yaklich went to jail because no one would help her. Tracy Thurman is alive but paralyzed. Tina Turner is the only who semi got away free.  I feel like these woman do what they have to do to survive and try the outlets that they know of for help. I am not saying that murdering is wrong, but in these cases and in the case of Evelyn Humphrey’s I do not think they should get jail time.  All these women try to do is protect themselves, why wait for their only justice to be after their murder, like Theresa Taylor?  It is like asking whose life should be spared; the victims or the serial murderer? 

          

  As stated before I did not get a lot of information about Humphrey’s, but I did read that she said that her Hampton took the same gun the night before and shot it at her.  I wonder why she didn’t have the epiphany to kill him them.  Her plea for self-defense would have been a stronger one for sure.  But if she did truly suffer from BWS then like I said she should not be punished for she has already endured punishment by the hands of Hampton.

Hey everyone so it is that time again

This is when I link up with my lovely ladies IA and Shawn but I am gonna put a little twist on this and also link up with Mamarazzi (who I have not linked up with in a while) for a duel Talk to Us Tuesday and 


I am linking the two about an experience that I recently had that makes it to the very top of my happy list so here we go!!
On October 1, 2011 one of my dearest friends, Melissa, gave birth to my nephew Jayden.



No he is not my biological nephew and yes I do have biological nephews but he is just so special because i was actually there at the hospital to see him when he was just a few hours old.  He is so precious and so sweet!! I remember when his mom, so weird yet proud to say, first told me she was pregnant.  She called me and said "Guess what? You're going to be a titi" I was like OMGIGI are you serious?  I am just so in love with this baby.  When I go to the hospital with our other friend we walked past all the babies and there was a baby Ramos and I knew automatically that that was him! He is just so precious and he loves when you sing to him and just talk to him. I am just so over joyed with being a new titi again.  Since I am not really all that close to my brothers because of the physical distance and the age difference i have never met my nephews but this one I vow to be in his life!! To spoil him rotten! I just love children so much and I can't wait to become a mother myself one day.  That was what I wanted to talk about and thank you ladies for giving me the chance to express my happiness.

Just because your in graduate school does not mean that you have to be a stiff prick and look down on me because I am younger then you.  I worked just as hard as you did to get to graduate and I have to pay just as much as you do to be in the classroom. So FAWK you all who give me that look and that attitude whenever I say something. I'm 22 in graduate school get over it and stop hating!!!

So my favorite vacation was People to People Student Ambassadors trip to Australia but unfortunately I lost all the pictures in a fire :(. So I picked my second favorite!
