aww i feel bad for you. the twenties, for me, were full of transitions and changes as far as friendships were concerned. most of that was due to marriages and men and even babies. once i got to my thirties that drama was behind us and the friends that were left standing (lol) are STILL my friends.
also...i have reconnected with friends from my teens and twenties, now that we are in our 40s and setting in to our selves and our lives.
just keep being her friend, tell her you love her. but follow your mama's advice, she is right.
oh and did you know that you have a huge comment killer on your blog?
word verification is the fastest way to kill comments...trust me on this one, get rid of the word veri...if you feel like you HAVE to have something on your blog to prevent spam then moderate your comments. i promise, making this little change is going to make blogging way more fun. people need to be able to read, comment and go to the next blog...make it easy for us!!

The only advice I have for you is to stay true to yourself, stand firm with your convictions, and be the friend to her that you want to her to be to you. Girls and their boyfriends are a tricky spot, I feel for ya!
